Description
Giant Pink Star (pisaster brevispinus) – Zeballos, Vancouver Island
The Giant Pink Star is covered with short spines. It ranges from Alaska to California. These sea stars mainly eat bivalves such as clams, but also eat sand dollars, snails and dead fish. They can be found on sandy or mud beaches during extreme low tide.
