Double-Crested Cormorant (phalacrocorax auritus) – Campbell River, Vancouver Island
These cormorants live in both salt and fresh water throughout North America, and they are the largest cormorants in British Columbia. Diet mainly consists of fish, although they also eat amphibians and crustaceans. After diving for food, they dry their feathers by standing on rocks with their wings spread.
