Chanterelle Mushroom (cantharellus cibarius) – Pye Lake, Vancouver Island
Chanterelles are common throughout North America, growing in both softwood and hardwood forests from July to November, depending on the climate. They can also be found on old trails and logging roads, and frequently in mossy areas.
